Update Apple Watch Easily in Minutes !!

-

Sometimes it becomes a very confusing task to update your Apple Watch. Here are some of the easiest ways to update the Apple Watch. You can use your iPhone to update Apple Watch software, or you can directly update it from your Apple Watch.

Check compatibility with the latest watchOS

watchOS 7 is well-matched with Apple Watch Series 3, other apple watch series, and also Apple Watch SE. Upgrading to the latest watchOS (watchOS 7) needs an iPhone 6s or any other, running iOS 14 or later.

Before you begin:
  1. Up-to-date your iPhone to the latest version of iOS.
  2. Check that your Apple Watch is charged at least 50 percent.
  3. Connect your iPhone to your Wi-Fi.
  4. Keep your iPhone close to your Apple Watch, so that they are in range and can be connected easily.

It could take from quite a few minutes to an hour for the update to get completed. You might need to update it overnight or wait till you have time.

Update your Apple Watch using your iPhone

When a new update is available, your Apple Watch informs/alerts you. Click on Update Tonight in the notification, then go back to your iPhone to approve that you want to update overnight. At the last, leave your Apple Watch and iPhone charging overnight so that both the devices can be charged and the update can be completed.

If you want to check for updates manually, use these steps:

  1. Put your Apple Watch on its charger till the update is done.
  2. Open the Watch app on your iPhone then click on the My Watch tab.
  3. Tap General > Software Update.
  4. Download the update.
  5. If requested for your iPhone passcode or Apple Watch passcode, enter it.
  6. Wait for the progress wheel to seem on your Apple Watch. It could take from few minutes to an hour for the updating process to complete.

Leave your Apple Watch on charging while the update finishes.
Do not restart or switch off your iPhone or Apple Watch, and don’t leave the Watch app. Whenever the update completes, your Apple Watch will restart by itself.

Update directly on your Apple Watch

If your Apple Watch has watchOS 6 or any other latest version, you can install the following updates without your iPhone:

  1. Make sure that your apple watch is connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. On your apple watch, go on the Settings app.
  3. Click on General > Software Update.
  4. Click on Install if a software update is offered, then follow the onscreen directions.

Leave your Apple Watch on charging while the update finishes.
