Spotify is one of the most preferred music streaming platform all over the world and till now they had their apps for iPhone, iPad and the Mac but not the Apple Watch. Now, Spotify for Apple Watch is available.
Now, you can download the updated Spotify App from the Apple App Store. Below are the release notes of the version 8.4.79:
We’re always making changes and improvements to Spotify. To make sure you don’t miss a thing, just keep your Updates turned on.
– This release includes the first version of our Apple Watch app
How to Download Spotify for Apple Watch?
In order to get the Spotify app on your Apple Watch, all you need to do is to update the application from the App Store and the app should be there on your Apple Watch. If you do not get it, head to the Apple Watch App on your iPhone and sync the watch once.
However, Spotify won’t be replacing the off-line and the playback streaming from Apple Music on your Apple Watch but you can use it as a controller to control the music playing on your iPhone or any other device streaming from Spotify.
Though the app is launched recently but it is not yet optimised for the all new Apple Watch Series 4, hope to see that and many more features such as off-line playback from the Apple Watch itself.

Or, while listening to your favorite podcast, easily rewind 15 seconds to catch that detail you missed. It’s all right there on the watch face. Speaking of parties, easily connect your speakers or devices via Spotify Connect to effortlessly DJ from your watch.
Easier access—easier discovery The new integration with Apple Watch makes accessing your recently played songs simple, even with your phone in your pocket. Plus, if you find a new favorite track while on the go, just tap the ♡ icon on your watch screen to save it to your collection—and then feel free to stream it over and over again. This new experience will be rolling out to Apple Watch users over the coming week.
