- Make sure your USB cable is in perfect condition, if not, try changing the cable
- Restart your iPhone as well as your Mac/PC
- Try changing USB ports on your computer, might be there is an issue with the port
- Disable restrictions on your iOS device by going to Settings → General → Restrictions →Toggle OFF
- If you are on Mac, check for latest macOS and update to the latest version of macOS

1. Check iTunes Services
Under this method, you’re supposed to check whether iTunes services are running properly or not.
Step 1 : Go to Spotlight and search for Activity Monitor
Step 2 : Change the view to All Processes
Step 3 : Look for iTunes Helper Services
Step 4 : If it isn’t running, try and re-install iTunes
2. Un-install iTunes via Terminal
In this method, we will be using the Terminal Window to go ahead and uninstall iTunes and later re-install it.
Step 1 : Open Terminal
Step 2 : Type the following commands one by one in the Terminal Window
- cd /Applications
- sudo rm -r iTunes.app
Step 3 : Head to iTunes Website and download a fresh copy of iTunes & install it
iPhone Not Showing in iTunes – Windows Solution
Here again the basic object will be the same, but the method will vary a little. That is all because of the difference between macOS and Windows.
1. Update iPhone Driver
There is a possibility that the drive which is responsible for reading the iPhone on your Windows PC turns out to be faulty. So, with this method we can easily fix the error.
Step 1 : Right Click on My Computer > Properties > Device Management
Step 2 : Right Click on Apple Mobile Device USB Driver > Update Driver Software
2. Un-install iTunes
There are chances that iTunes all-together turns out to be faulty. Or there can be a small error or glitch which isn’t allowing it to function properly. We shall try and fix it.
Step 1 : Go to Start > Control Centre
Step 2 : Head to Uninstall Software
Step 3 : Right click on iTunes and hit Uninstall

Step 5 : Install the freshly downloaded iTunes
