The official software updates for the year are out and you can finally install them on your iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Macs and Apple TVs.

It is finally that time of the year when you get to upgrade the software on all your Apple devices. It is the time when Apple rolls out new softwares updates and this year we are getting – iOS 13, iPadOS 13, watchOS 6, macOS Catalina and tvOS 13.

There is an addition to the software update line up, as Apple planned to make an all new operating system for its iPad range. Now, your iPad will not use iOS for operating, in place, it will be using iPadOS.

iPadOS is the all new operating system Apple has rolled out for iPads. It helps improve performance as well as perform a lot more tasks, which were not possible on iOS.

Well, it is not just the iPadOS; all new software updates are rolled out. Which means, it is time to update.

How to Download and Install Software Update?

It is an effortless task to upgrade to the latest software on your iPhone, iPod, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, or Apple TV. But before we begin, you need to ensure one thing.

You need to take a complete backup of your device to either iCloud or iTunes on your Mac or Windows PC. It will ensure the absolute safety of your data, and in case something goes wrong, you will have a backup.

It is essential to have a regular backup of your data to ensure you never lose your data and always are up-to-date.

Now that you have taken a backup of your data to either iCloud or iTunes, we can begin with the process of Software Update.

On your iPhone, iPod, and iPod, you can go to Settings and look for an option called “Software Update” and download the software update. After the software update download is complete, you can easily install it.

If you want to update your Apple Watch, on your paired iPhone, go to Watch App and in there, look for a software update. From there, you can download the update and install it on your Apple Watch.

While installing the update, ensure there is a minimum of fifty percent charge on your Apple Watch, and it is on charging mode.

For your Mac, you can head to the Apple Logo on the left top corner and tap on it, look for System Preferences. Now, tap on Software Update to update to the latest macOS Catalina on your Mac.
